Roastery Assistant — Schot Coffee Roasters

We are Schot! — an independent roaster that started in 2011 and has grown into a team of passionate coffee professionals, all driven by an unconditional love for the coffee. Our roastery is located in de Huidenclub; an experimental platform for contemporary culture in Rotterdam.
We’re now looking for a Roastery Assistant (32 – 40h / week) — in this function you will be part of the production team.
What you’ll do
• Assist the roaster in receiving green coffee stock and meeting production schedules
• Take care of the packing process for retail and wholesale orders – sticking, packing and shipping.
• Delivering coffees to our Horeca customers
• Preparing equipment for events
• Assisting in the communication to customers regarding the order process
• Assisting in quality control procedures; setting up cupping table and participate in (production) cupping
• Cleaning and maintenance of the bar equipment and workspace
• Cleaning and maintenance of the roastery equipment and workspace

You are
• able to work punctual and independent,
• driven, proactive and have a ‘go-do-it’ mentality.
• in possession of a driving license or are in the process of getting one.
• flexibel in tasks and schedules
